I don't know if our tandem ever had a real headbadge, but it sorely needed one. Every bike does. Marya's a jeweler and I'm always trying to get her to make me things. This is our first attempt at a headbadge. It's my design (inspired by the Vanilla head badges). It's made of copper and sterling silver. I guess small type is hard to, er, I'll say "punch out," but I'm sure there's some technical term. Plus Marya didn't want to make teeny-tiny rivets for the middle all the little letters, so it didn't quite turn out how I imagined. Also, the silver tarnishes a little too quickly (even with some protective, er, finish). So, we'll probably do another one! Maybe with diamonds. Bling!
